Kazumi Morton is a Master Colorist opening Salon Kazumi in Beverly Hills early 2016. She travels to San Francisco and New York City on a regular basis. Nicknamed the “brunette master” by Allure magazine, Kazumi expertly marries her decades of experiential know how with her keen eye for hair coloring to deliver rich, textured and complexion-enhancing highlights and shades to each of her dedicated clients across the U.S.A. Also a pioneer of hair straightening and hair extensions. She specializes in applying and custom coloring the new hair extension technology system created by Hair Lingerie.
Always inspired and passionate about hair, Kazumi’s career began when she moved from her home in Japan to Los Angeles to train at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy. Upon graduating, Kazumi was mentored by world-renowned colorist Stuart Gavert at the Gavert Atelier Salon in Beverly Hills. Throughout her career Kazumi has worked tirelessly in Los Angeles, New York, and Tokyo and with clients including Zooey Deschanel, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Christina Applegate.
As a solution to her clients’ request to find a roots & grays touch up colorant that will carry them over from one appointment to the next, Kazumi paired up with KIWABI, Inc. to design a product that provided the radiance, nutrients and color that her clients demanded — and banished the typical hassles associated with wash-off touch up tools and colorants. Kiwabi’s researchers, dermatologists, hair care experts and chemists worked closely with Kazumi to create, ROOT VANISH by Kazumi, a formula that met her high standards for hair color and scalp and hair health.
